For those who don’t know the previous edition of this game, let’s tell that is a bowling game to play on the computer in which you have to hit elves when you throw the ball. The GameSpot staff were more favorable, gaving the game a 7.2 out of 10 " If you really like bowling games, Christmas, or puerile humor, Elf Bowling is worth a look. As its name indicates, Elf Bowling Hawaiian Vacation, this time our naughty elves have gone to Hawaiian, more specifically to a cruise. Robert Falcon of Modojo gave it an 1 out of 5, saying " Dropping $20 on the DS or Game Boy cartridge would be a complete waste on your part, as you find yourself hosed by a game promising holiday cheer and instead visiting the reindeer stalls and giving you the content." Matt Keller of PALGN gave it a half out of 10, saying that " so utterly simplistic, tedious and pointless that we are not sure if it should be legal to expect people to pay money for them." Craig Harris of IGN gave this game an 1 out of 10, calling it " a single-chuckle joke that's extended into a 20 dollar purchase" and " two of the crappiest games ever developed on the Nintendo DS platform", criticizing the lack of controls and effort put into it. The game was widely criticized for its lack of deviation from the original games, with critics citing the gameplay as "simplistic," as well as the price tag. On Metacritic, the user score is 2.6 out of 10, based on "unfavorable reviews."
